Two years go, we were getting nickle-and-dimed by our phone system vendor for licensing, maintenance, and repairs on the PBX that we had. Because we have multiple locations, we wanted to go with an in-house VOIP system, so that we could route all of our calls through an in-house managed system. We looked at several vendors, and because most vendors still license you to death, charging you for a phone, a phone license, a mailbox license, a license for call forwarding to your cell, a license for this, and a license for that, we went with Digium's Switchvox product. This has been the best decision ever. The system is incredibly easy to manage, even for someone with little to no experience with phone systems. Digium's support is also top-notch, and we've had few issues, and the ones we've had have been handled quickly and professionally. As an ecommerce company, our phones are our lifeblood, and we love the system, and will keep it for years to come

i started using digium as asterisk and then to switchvox, their web-based phone solution.installation is not very easy is but an ok one to any IT person to mange. they are behind softeare updates and you need licensing to get updated. It i an average product with noy much rich features so might move to someting else if possible.

Digium Switchvox is a product with great features but marketing could be a bit misleading. The salesman who pitched the idea said it can integrates with other system but during trial we found this is not the case but if you are using just a standalone sytem it is just an average product. The Switchboard lags, crashes, and displays inaccurate information and the company aware of the issue but they are not yet fixed.

We've had our system over a year now, and I am ok with it for now. Simple to manage, powerful, easy to use. We even setup a backup VM just in case the hardware ever fails.
But it comes with very bad customer service. Techs know nothing about the product. It took a lady 4.5 hours to set up our phones. It was inexpensive when comparing with other systems, but after having these systems down for so long, I could have purchased more reliable system such as Avaya.

DIgium switchbox has its own ups and downs depends on version release. mostly they are working great then all of a sudden a new release will break everything. We migrated to a Switchvox appliance years ago when our aging analog / proprietary system was up for replacement. It took a few days with our vendor to get everything up and running. Aprt from some bugs this solution works great.

I have used Digium switchbox for years and it is a great product. Their email and phone support is very helpful when you need help. we used polycom 335 with their system and they helped us to configure it too. i heard very bad reviews about them but in my personal experience , they were at its best. the plus point is users can setup their own call rules to send incoming calls to cell phones, which our school executives love. #spiceworks
